Just over a year after Prince Harry publicly announced his "desirable" reconciliation with his family, the Sussexes have yet to visit the UK as a whole. However, royal biographer Ingrid Seward believes an invitation from King Charles this summer for Harry, Meghan, and their children is completely out of the question.
However, that would mean going a little further than Clarence House, as she believes Balmoral Castle in Scotland is the "only" place where the meeting could take place.
«"The only place I can think of where they could meet if the king wants to meet or at least see his grandchildren is Balmoral," Ingrid told the publication. The Mirror . "It's the only time the King has the opportunity, and the Sussexes can be accommodated there because there are many cottages on the estate.".

As Ingrid mentioned, His Majesty has more free time than usual when he's at Balmoral, as he usually arrives there in August for his annual summer vacation. During this time, he continues to perform some royal duties, but public engagements for the entire royal family are largely suspended.
Balmoral Castle is located on 50,000 acres, and Ingrid explained that Harry and Meghan "are not obliged to stay at the castle," although they "expect it, but that's fine." She also believes the couple will "ensure" their visit doesn't clash with the Prince and Princess of Wales's trip to Scotland to see the King.

Although Charles and Harry have met privately in recent years, the relationship between William and his brother remains as distant as ever. However, Ingrid believes that it's "not that difficult" for the two families to avoid each other, so a possible visit to the Sussexes "could be done quite discreetly.".
Since Balmoral is closed to the public during King Charles's summer holidays and he typically doesn't participate in official engagements, he has much more privacy there, and photographs are rarely taken. King Charles also maintains 24-hour security, which may provide Harry and Meghan with reassurance regarding Archie and Lilibet's safety during their stay.

Of all the royal residences, Balmoral was considered the late Queen Elizabeth's favorite, and she also spent summers there, hosting various members of her extended family. Meghan, Archie, and Lily have never visited the castle, but Prince Harry considers it a very special place.

If King Charles does invite the family to his Balmoral estate, and Harry and Meghan agree, perhaps Archie and Lilibet will be able to experience what their father experienced as a child. It would also be a huge step for the royal family after everything that has happened, so keeping it a secret could be more difficult than it seems.
