Actor and comedian Matt Rogers\u00ab <em>You won&#039;t do anything good<\/em> \u00bb&quot; has been cast as one of the leads in the second season of the spy drama from Amazon MGM Studios and New Regency, coming soon to Prime Video.<\/p>\n<p> He joins Francesca Scorsese, who was recently cast as Mrs. Smith. It&#039;s believed they won&#039;t be playing a couple, unlike Mark Eidelstein (Mr. Smith) and Talia Ryder (Mrs. Smith), who also joined the cast of season two.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>More news from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p> The Night Manager crew on the difficulties of reviving a show they never planned to continue: &quot;We&#039;ve already finished that story.&quot;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p> Will Arnett will join Kristen Stewart in the 1980s-set NASA miniseries Challenger for Prime Video.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p> The team behind the show &quot;Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat&quot; called the secret to the program&#039;s success &quot;A Celebration of Basic Decency.&quot;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Plot details for the second season, which began filming in Los Angeles in April, are being kept under wraps. Season one leads Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are expected to return to their roles as John Smith and Jane Smith, respectively; the extent of their return remains unclear.<\/p>\n<p> Series <em>\u00ab&quot;Mr and Mrs Smith&quot;\u00bb<\/em> From creators and executive producers Glover and Francesca Sloan, it&#039;s a New Regency-inspired reimagining of the 2005 film. Glover will direct several episodes of the second season after helming the first season finale.<\/p>\n<p> Anna Ouyang Moench serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the second season alongside Glover. Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Stephen Glover, Anthony Katagas, and Fam Oudeorji return as executive producers, joined by Erskine.<\/p>\n<p> <em>Mr. and Mrs. Smith\u00ab<\/em> received 16 Emmy Award nominations for its first season in 2024, winning two statues.<\/p>\n<p> Rogers is perhaps best known as the co-host of the popular podcast <em>Las Culturistas<\/em> , which he co-hosts with Bowen Yang. The duo also hosts the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, which was taped last weekend and will air on Bravo and Peacock on June 17.<\/p>\n<p> Rogers has recently made recurring appearances on the Netflix dark comedy series <em>\u00abNo Good Deed\u00bb<\/em> and in the Prime Video series <em>\u00abOvercompensating<\/em> \u00bb&quot; He was also a main cast member of the Showtime comedy series <em>\u00abI Love That For You\u00bb<\/em> .
