Lionsgate has acquired the rights to Tortures of the Damned, the next horror project from Frightful creator Damien Leone, TheWrap has learned.<\/p>\n
Leone will write, direct, and produce the project, which will be his next film after completing "Terrifier 4," currently in pre-production. Leone will join producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, who will produce the film through their Ghost House label.<\/p>\n
The film studio and the creators of the film are keeping the plot secret. <\/p>\n

Scott O'Brien and Pavan Kalidindi will oversee the project for Lionsgate. Romel Adam and Jos\u00e9 Ca\u00f1as will oversee the project for Ghost House and serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n
Dan Friedman negotiated the deals for the studio.<\/p>\n
Leone is best known as the writer and director of the Fearless franchise. <\/p>\n
Raimi's most recent directorial credit was the critically acclaimed horror film "Help." His upcoming projects include directing and producing a remake of the classic horror film "Magic" for Lionsgate.<\/p>\n
Raimi is represented by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller. Leone is represented by WME and Zerner Law.<\/p>\n
