A comedic reboot of &quot;Bulges&quot; and &quot;The Littlest Hobo&quot; from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg at Bell Slate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p> Neon CEO Tom Quinn praised the success of &#039;Behind the Scenes,&#039; saying it shows young people are &quot;ready to give up their phones&quot; - SXSW London<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p> CanCannot: Prime Minister Carney has reversed his position on increasing streaming revenues for Canadian companies; the Professional Professionals Association of Canada (MPA) praised the &quot;new policy decisions&quot; as a victory for Netflix and other companies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> A date goes wrong when their attempt to develop a relationship at a remote motel outside of town leads them into a bloody and twisted murder plot.<\/p>\n<p> This is the 13th feature film from Canadian director James, whose eclectic filmography includes the quirky romantic comedy\u00ab <em>This burning feeling<\/em> \u00bb&quot;, and the psychological thriller &quot;\u00ab <em>Exile<\/em> \u00bb&quot; and the family Christmas film &quot;\u00ab <em>Decorating the House for Christmas\u00bb<\/em> .<\/p>\n<p> Movie <em>\u00ab&quot;All Night Wrong&quot;,<\/em> The screenplay, written by his longtime collaborator Jason Filiatrault, combines elements of several of these genres.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;I love romantic comedies. That&#039;s where I started. I always try to play with genre and turn it on its head. My very first film was a romantic comedy about the most unromantic thing possible. Then I made another romantic comedy about suicide and depression,&quot; James said. &quot;It was really exciting for me to make a film that was somewhere between neo-noir and indie romantic comedy.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> James said he was drawn to Cherry for the role of Gary because of his work on the show. <em>\u00ab&quot;Heirs<\/em> \u00bb&quot; and Dylan George&#039;s role in <em>in the film &quot;Breakup&quot;\u00ab<\/em> .<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;I&#039;m very interested in sensitive people. Placing a sensitive person in such a harsh, deceptive world was incredibly exciting for me,&quot; he said. &quot;I wanted to make a film about an unusual couple. Maria Bakalova is simply an unpredictable person. She&#039;s brave and strong. Putting the two of them in such a situation was simply incredibly captivating.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> Cherry said he was also drawn to the film&#039;s blend of genres.<\/p>\n<p> \u00abI have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that cross genre boundaries, such as <em>\u00ab&quot;The Gap&quot;\u00bb<\/em> \u0438 <em>\u00ab&quot;Heirs<\/em> \u00bb&quot;...my first regular series was <em>\u00ab&quot;You&quot;\u00bb<\/em> , &quot;It&#039;s a very dark take on the stalker story in a romantic setting, but it&#039;s also very funny,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p> Cherry admitted she was a big fan of Bakalova even before joining her on set, and described the experience of working with her as &quot;amazing.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;When it comes to her ability to combine different genres, I think she does it really well... her performances are always very realistic, but at the same time she&#039;s so bold and fearless that when it comes to comedy, she&#039;s willing to try anything. And it was really great for me to work with someone like that,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p> The couple also spoke about the &quot;grueling&quot; filming in British Columbia&#039;s Columbia Valley region during the winter of 2024-2025.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;Never make a movie that takes place in one evening, because then you&#039;re completely immersed in vampire life for six weeks to two months. So we shot every day from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. We changed the clocks,&quot; James said.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;We filmed in a small town\u2026 in the mountains last winter. It was minus 10 degrees. We embraced the snow and the cold\u2026 it felt like a war, like a battle. It was tough, but that feeling of cold, isolation, small town, a kind of borderland\u2014for me, that&#039;s where dark things happen, and that&#039;s where these characters found themselves.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> Following its premiere at SXSW in London this week, <em>All Night Wrong<\/em> plans to take part in festivals this summer.<\/p>\n<p> Cherry will also soon be seen on the big screen in Zach Cregger&#039;s film <em>\u00ab&quot;Resident Evil&quot;\u00bb<\/em> , which will be shown as part of the Un Certain Regard program at the Cannes Film Festival <em>, &quot;Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma&quot;\u00ab<\/em> .
