Nick Viall<\/strong> plans to use Scamanda's story as a lesson for his daughters. He plans to use this story to teach his daughters a lesson about the reality of relationships.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"I have a two-year-old daughter. I have twin girls on the way," Nick said. "That means watching the unfolding events involving Ciara (Miller), West, and Amanda feels different than just watching the drama. It's less analytical, more like, 'I'm never going to hear anything like this again.'".<\/p>\n

In an essay on Substack, Nick admitted that he judged West and Amanda for starting a relationship so soon after breaking up with their previous partners. Amanda announced her split from her ex-husband, Kyle Cook, in January. Meanwhile, last summer, West reconnected with Amanda's former best friend on the show "Summer House.".<\/p>\n

\u00ab"What would I want my daughters to understand when they inevitably recognize themselves in a story like this?" Nick asked. "Because they will. At some point, each of them will meet someone who won't choose them the way they deserve.".<\/p>\n

Nick explained how he sees the relationship between the main members of Skamanda. He sees Ciara as someone who's "always present" and willing to invest in a genuine relationship without any guarantees. He doesn't consider this naive. Nick thinks she's a good partner. But being good doesn't always guarantee success.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"When you combine genuine empathy with inconsistency on the other side, you don't get balance. You get ambiguity. And it's precisely in conditions of ambiguity that people linger longer than they should," he said.<\/p>\n

As for West, Nick believes he has a right to be confused, but his behavior remains the same. Instead of being forthright and gently closing the door on Ciara, he left it open and protected his "access" without forcing him to make a choice.<\/p>\n

And if his daughters are more like Amanda than Ciara, he hopes they'll be guided by "eighteen years of instilled values and self-respect" when making decisions. However, he also hopes they'll be guided by curiosity rather than judgment, because people don't make decisions in a vacuum.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, he realizes he can't teach his daughters to avoid people like West. But he hopes they'll learn to recognize when "mutual exploration devolves into one-sided investment.".<\/p>\n

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8\/7c on Bravo and is available to watch the following day on Peacock.<\/p>\n
