He acknowledged that recent films have shown that audiences value realistic storytelling more than large-scale productions with abundant visual effects. These comments came shortly after Parsons expressed his indifference to AI, claiming that such technologies deprive viewers of creative satisfaction.<\/p>\n

Starr reposted Parsons' comment about artificial intelligence on his Instagram story, sharing his thoughts on the matter. He wrote, "Yeah, yeah. It's coming, blah blah blah. But recent movies have proven that people want human stories. Not big, ridiculous, special-effects-filled nonsense." Hypothetically wondering if anyone had ever attended an AI movie premiere, he added, "The cast is terrible and they hate their human fans.".<\/p>\n

These comments came after Parsons shared his views on artificial intelligence in a conversation with The Australian. He shared the view of other "sensible" people and didn't want AI to rob films of their essence. He stated that if he had the superpower to instantly destroy generative AI, he would gladly make it disappear. "Creatively, I get no joy from using these tools. For me, it completely defeats the purpose of them," he explained.<\/p>\n

While he's opposed to AI taking over creativity, he sees positive aspects of its use. He believes the technology could significantly reduce the time spent on complex and repetitive visual effects tasks. However, he declined to evaluate the positive aspects objectively, believing, "There's a lot at stake, and a lot of really harmful consequences are already happening." Nevertheless, Parsons is keen to explore the topic of AI in film.<\/p>\n
