I tried so hard, and then I just gave up. I couldn't do it," she says, adding with a smile, "I'm just not cut out for a life of crime.".

It's good that her Hollywood career is thriving. Weaving's modern-day Bonnie and Clyde story, starring Kyle Gallner and Kyra Sedgwick (out now), is the third film she's released since March, following the successful horror sequel. «"Ready or Not 2: Here I Come"» and dark comedy «Over Your Dead Body» .

Weaving, 34, says she's "grateful" for this exciting time in her life, which also includes a personal accomplishment: she and her husband, 37-year-old screenwriter and director Jimmy Warden, recently welcomed their first child, a girl. "I think I'm still processing it all," she says. "It's so exciting. It's wonderful!"«

Jimmy Worden and Samara Weaving March 30, 2026. Photo: Todd Williamson/JanuaryImages/Shutterstock

A native of Adelaide, Australia, she has been acting professionally since her teens, appearing in the Australian drama series «Out of the Blue» , but she says she never imagined she'd one day have the life she's built in the US. "I think I was just lucky to have worked at all. I remember the idea of moving to Los Angeles seemed so big, daunting, and exciting. And even auditioning was hard. Even finding an agent was hard," she says.

Her persistence paid off: slowly but surely, Weaving is the niece of actor Hugo Weaving, best known for the film "The Matrix"« , - earned a reputation as a sought-after supporting actress, landing roles in films such as «Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri» 2017, nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category.

Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come! Her dedication was obvious to her colleagues. Caroline Caroline Gallner: "She was willing to dive right in, and we were able to film and shoot and have a great time.".

And yet, the self-doubt hasn't gone away. "I still have impostor syndrome," she admits. "It's not as bad as it used to be. Years of uncertainty, not knowing when you'll be able to work again, and questions like, 'Will anyone call me back?' and 'Will anyone hire me?' I don't know if it'll ever go away. But I'm much better at just trusting the process and not stressing about it.".

Samara Weaving in "Caroline Caroline." Photo courtesy of Magnolia Pictures.

Becoming a young mother has given her much more pressing concerns. She calls motherhood "strange," but in a good way. "Every day you discover something new and learn so much about yourself," Weaving says. "My heart is outside my body now.".

In the future, she would like to collaborate more with Warden. They met while working on the film "The Nanny"« , and last year he wrote the script and directed film "Border"« , in which Weaving starred alongside Ray Nicholson. "I'd love to work with him on another project; it would be so fun and easy. And the parenting issues, too!"«

As for her future professional plans? "I'm just living one day at a time," she says. "If there's something I can't give up, we'll figure it out. And if not, I have a pretty good role as a mother.".

The film "Caroline Caroline"« is now showing in cinemas across the country.

Read the original article on People.

NEED TO KNOW: For Australian actress Samara Weaving, this year has been the busiest in her career – since March, she has released three films and become a mother…

[6

post-14137","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-kinoindustriya","hvn-theme-has-thumbnail
["GET
