New release Sony Music<\/strong> is a carefully curated collection of eight classic tracks spanning the band's 1970s output, including such landmark albums as Meddle<\/strong><\/em> , The Dark Side of the Moon<\/strong><\/em> , Wish You Were Here<\/strong><\/em> \u0438 The Wall<\/strong><\/em> . As the title suggests, the tracklist includes eight key compositions, such as \u00ab Money<\/strong> \u00bb, \u00ab Wish You Were Here<\/strong> \u00bb" And "\u00ab Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2<\/strong> \u00bb", a selection of which was compiled by Steven Wilson.<\/p>\n

According to the press release announcing the album, 8-Tracks<\/em> is described as "a starting point for new listeners to discover the depth and breadth of Pink Floyd's unrivaled album catalogue, as well as a carefully curated collection that longtime fans will appreciate.".<\/p>\n

Written by Roger Waters<\/strong> for his then wife Caroline<\/strong> , the song became the frame and finale of the group's album \u00ab Animals\u00bb<\/em> , maintained in Orwellian style<\/strong> . Since the song was presented as a prologue and epilogue, it never charted as a single.
