Patrick Godfrey, an actor best known for his role in in the film "Everlasting Love: A Cinderella Story"\u00ab<\/em> along with Drew Barrymore, died at the age of 93.<\/p>\n

On Friday, June 5, Godfrey's talent agency, Markham Froggatt & Irwin, announced his death in a statement posted on its website.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"It is with deep sadness that we confirm that Patrick Godfrey passed away last night," the agency said in a statement announcing his death on Thursday, June 4. "He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Paddy was an exceptionally talented actor and a wonderful person, and he will be deeply missed.".<\/p>\n

The cause of death has not been disclosed at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

In the film "\u00ab Eternal love<\/em> \u00bb In 1998, Godfrey played Leonardo da Vinci in a story inspired by the tale of Cinderella<\/em> . Barrymore played Danielle, a Cinderella-like character, while Dougray Scott played Prince Henry and Anjelica Huston played the evil stepmother, Rodmilla. Megan Dodds and Melanie Lynskey played the stepsisters.<\/p>\n

Godfrey's other notable film credits include the films \u00ab"A room with a view<\/em> \u00bb (1986), \u00ab"Maurice"\u00bb<\/em> (1987), \u00abThe Remains of the Day\u00bb<\/em> (1993), \u00ab"The Count of Monte Cristo"\u00bb<\/em> (2002) and \u00abLes Miserables\u00bb<\/em> (2012). He has also appeared in television shows such as \u00abDoctor Who\u00bb<\/em> \u0438 \u00ab"Inspector Morse"\u00bb<\/em> . Godfrey also took part in the production of plays. \u00abZykovs\u00bb<\/em> , \u00abThe Iceman Comes\u00bb<\/em> \u0438 \u00abEnemies\u00bb<\/em> .<\/p>\n

Following the actor's death, playwright Bill Rosenfield posted a tribute to him on Facebook. "Our wonderful neighbor, Patrick Godfrey, passed away peacefully last night. He was 93," he wrote, accompanying the post with a photo of the actor. "Our condolences go out to his friends, his wife, Amanda Walker, and their children, Kate and Richard.".<\/p>\n

\u00ab"With a theatrical career spanning nearly 70 years (!), Patrick is a shining example of what it means to be a 'working actor,'" Rosenfield continued. "Over those decades, you've seen him countless times in film... on television... and on stage\u2014a fascinating, up-and-down career any actor would be proud of. And yet, it's the good neighbor we'll remember most fondly.".<\/p>\n

He also described Godfrey as "a wonderful person, a great actor and a great friend.".<\/p>\n
