The Belgian Heavy Draft horse originates from the Brabant region of modern-day Belgium and is one of the strongest heavy breeds. Two Belgian Heavy Draft horses are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. The record belongs to the world's tallest horse, a Belgian Heavy Draft horse named "Big Jake," who stands 20.2 3\/4 hands (82.75 inches, 210 cm). McIlrath's two-year-old Belgian stallion, "Captain Jim," holds the record for the most expensive heavy draft horse ever purchased. Unlike other horse breeds, the Falabella has seventeen vertebrae instead of eighteen and one pair fewer ribs. Another difference between an adult horse and a Falabella is lifespan.
