Jackson Lahmeyer, a Tulsa megachurch pastor and self-proclaimed "MAGA warrior" backed by President Donald Trump, has found himself at the center of a growing controversy following alleged text messages between the married pastor and former beauty queen Caitlin Simmons Key. These allegations emerged ahead of the Republican primary in Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District, which takes place on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

According to The Daily Mail, Kay, a 40-year-old single mother and former campaign donor to Lachmeyer, claimed the two had been exchanging inappropriate messages for some time before Lachmeyer's wife allegedly discovered the conversations around Mother's Day.<\/p>\n

Kay, who identified as a conservative and a Christian, said she had difficulty reconciling the personal contacts she said she had with Lahmeyer's public image as a pastor and a family-values candidate.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"The problem is that he's married and a pastor," Kay told the publication. "When you lead people in the name of Christ, you have a responsibility to hold yourself to a higher standard.".<\/p>\n

According to Kay, what ostensibly began as a political collaboration developed into an emotionally charged friendship. "Eventually, the conversations crossed the line of what most people would consider appropriate between a married man and an unmarried woman," she said.<\/p>\n

Reports published by The Daily Mail claim that Lahmeyer complimented Key on her appearance, invited her to his hotel room, and frequently interacted with her while traveling to campaign and political events.<\/p>\n

In one of the alleged messages, Lahmeyer allegedly told Key he enjoyed texting her after she asked why he was texting her during a gala at Mar-a-Lago. "I enjoy texting you lol," one of the messages allegedly read.<\/p>\n

In another alleged incident, the pastor reportedly confessed his feelings for Key after she questioned his realistic views on marriage. "You love me, and we don't even have sex," Key allegedly wrote.<\/p>\n

Kay told the publication: "Nobody knew how close we were. No one on the planet except him and me.".<\/p>\n

The scandal reportedly escalated after President Trump publicly endorsed Lachmeyer in early May. Kay claimed that after he expressed support for Lachmeyer online, his wife, Kendra Lachmeyer, allegedly discovered the messages and confronted him.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"You're a family wrecker. Did you enjoy wrecking our family?" Kendra allegedly wrote in one of the messages obtained by The Daily Mail. "He has five children.".<\/p>\n

According to Kay, Lahmeyer later tried to resolve the conflict after his wife viewed some of the messages. "Kendra wanted to restore all our messages. I deleted them," reads one of Lahmeyer's alleged messages. "I told her I was getting too close to you and emotionally attached. She snapped at me.".<\/p>\n

Lahmeyer also reportedly insisted to Kay that, while he acknowledged emotional intimacy, the relationship was not romantic.<\/p>\n

Amid the controversy, questions about campaign payments have surfaced.<\/h2>\n

Beyond the alleged personal relationship, Kay also raised questions about campaign payments, which she said continued even after she was reportedly removed from Lachmeyer's inner circle. According to Kay, she worked as a fundraiser for Lachmeyer's congressional campaign and received $500 a week plus a percentage of the proceeds.<\/p>\n

She claimed the payments continued into June, despite her alleged conflict with Lahmeyer and campaign staff, leading her to question whether the arrangement was intended to silence her. "They think five hundred dollars a week will keep me quiet," Kay said, clarifying that she was merely sharing her opinion.<\/p>\n

Campaign manager John Killian reportedly told Key that the payments would continue until the primaries "because it's the right thing to do.".<\/p>\n

Among the most outrageous allegations, Kay claimed that Lahmeyer described leaving Mar-a-Lago late at night to visit a strip club after allegedly being offered cocaine, which he said he refused.<\/p>\n

At the time, Kay reportedly warned the pastor about the risk of scandal if he ran for higher office. "Jackson, if you become a congressman and ever get caught, you'll be in the headlines," she allegedly texted him.<\/p>\n

As discontent mounted, Lahmeyer reportedly canceled Sunday services at the Sheridan church, telling parishioners that "unforeseen circumstances had arisen.".<\/p>\n
