Many of the posts reportedly appeared late at night or early in the morning and often contained bizarre memes or criticism of people he considered rivals or enemies.

Reflecting on this behavior, Wolf argued that if anyone else had been involved, it would have immediately been considered a mental health crisis requiring intervention.

«"If it was a family member of literally anyone who was staying up all night posting—sometimes hundreds of posts in a single night—crazy stuff like that, it would be a mental health crisis," the veteran reporter argued.

Michael Wolff wonders what can be done about Donald Trump.

Yuri Gripas/UPI/Newscom/MEGA

While discussing Trump's habit of posting on Truth Social's nightly editions, Wolf also raised the question of what should be done to contain Trump.

«"What do you do when the president of the United States openly—without any restrictions, in print, in his own hand—makes statements that are consistently beyond the pale?" Wolf asked.

He added: "What do you do with the clear evidence that the president of the United States is behaving in a way that would make anyone else—members of your family, CEOs of other companies—beg for intervention?" Instead of a direct answer, Wolf left the question open, seemingly implying that, given Trump's position and influence, there's little that can realistically be done.

Trump's former press secretary joined the criticism.

Wolf was not the only political figure to express concern about Trump's erratic online behavior.

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham has repeatedly criticized the president, including recently calling him "out of his mind" after Trump made a threatening statement about destroying "an entire civilization" in Iran.

«"I'll ask again: where is the leadership in Congress? The post sparked intense criticism online and was eventually deleted by the president.

Then, on April 12, the president caused even more controversy by releasing an image of himself as Jesus healing a man lying in bed.

That same month, the president sharply criticized Pope Leo XIV, calling him "weak in the fight against crime" after the pontiff called for a peaceful resolution to escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.

«"Leo needs to get his act together as Pope, show some common sense, stop pandering to the radical left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a politician," Trump wrote.

Read also: Robert De Niro said the US is "not that attractive" under Donald Trump.

Donald Trump's former biographer, Michael Wolff, questions his penchant for publishing bizarre posts on the website Truth Social.
