Some weighed 25 tons, while others weighed as much as 50.<\/p>\n

Construction may have taken place as early as 2000 BC. This was theorized by ancient scholars. They believed Stonehenge was used for lunar and solar observations. Stonehenge could have been used to determine the solar year. But after computer examination and modeling of its original appearance, it became clear that Stonehenge represents our galaxy, with all the planets in cross-section. All megaliths are highly seismically resistant. They stand on special platforms that dampened and neutralized tremors. Such platforms were installed under all ancient structures, preventing ground subsidence.
