Director Kane Parsons hints at the possibility continuation of "Behind the Scenes"\u00ab<\/strong> . The first film, "Behind the Scenes," starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Raineswe, is currently playing in U.S. theaters.<\/p>\n

The film "Behind the Scenes" is quickly becoming a hit for A24. Based on Parsons' creepypasta-inspired web series, the film grossed $81 million at the U.S. box office last weekend and has a worldwide gross of $118 million to date.<\/p>\n

What did Kane Parsons say about a possible sequel to "Behind the Scenes"?<\/h2>\n

Naturally, horror fans are wondering whether there will be a sequel to "Backstage," or any sequel at all. In an interview with Variety, Parsons was asked if he had any plans for how he wants to continue the story of "Backstage.".<\/p>\n

Parsons said, "I don't want to leave YouTube. I really enjoy the work I do there, and I feel a creative satisfaction commensurate with what I've accomplished with this film. Personally, I think it makes sense because there are a lot of projects I simply could never have realized outside of YouTube or the more freeform nature of the internet media platform. So I wouldn't limit myself to just one place, but I think it's a way of saying I have a good project going right now, and I want to harness the energy and positivity that surrounds this film.".<\/p>\n

\u00ab"Backrooms was definitely always planned as a series beyond this film. I'd say it's a kind of first step toward further developing a story that's been building online for years. But this is a version that remains accessible and allows us to begin working on the project. For those interested, I have a contract and am in control, which means I'm definitely not done with Backrooms. I have very specific projects I'm working on right now, and I'm looking forward to sharing them, but for now, it's still a mystery.".<\/p>\n
