After selling out concerts in 2024, Grammy Award-winning soul music icon Macy Gray<\/strong> is officially returning to Australia in September and October... and this time with even more fanfare.<\/p>\n

The tour, which was named The Encore Tour<\/em> , will mark Gray's return to major cities and her first regional Australian tour in years, bringing her signature raspy vocals and a string of iconic hits to theatres, clubs and concert halls across the country.<\/p>\n

And honestly? Kudos to Maisie for looking at Australia and saying, "No, let's go to Port Macquarie instead.".<\/p>\n

This is not just a short victory celebration in the capital.<\/p>\n

For more than two decades, selling over 25 million records and winning numerous accolades including a GRAMMY Award, multiple BRIT Awards and releasing ten studio albums, Macy Gray has become one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary soul and R&B.<\/p>\n

But Australia has always had particularly close ties with Macy's.<\/p>\n

Long before the US fully appreciated her work, Australian audiences enthusiastically received her breakthrough album On How Life Is<\/em> , and the song I Try<\/em> became a local hit, helping cement Gray's status as one of those artists whose songs somehow wove their way into the cultural landscape of the early 2000s.<\/p>\n

And judging by her own comments, she definitely remembers it.<\/p>\n

The setlist is expected to be heavily comprised of songs from across her discography, including I Try<\/em> , Still<\/em> , Do Something<\/em> , Sexual Revolution<\/em> , Sweet Baby<\/em> , as well as tracks from the upcoming album, including her latest single, a reworked version I'm Too Sexy<\/em> .<\/p>\n
