In the video, shared by Smith, 55, his mother plays a racing game at the arcade and ranks 40th out of 40. &quot;Remember to take breaks every now and then and keep your eyes on the road, Grace!&quot; Smith can be heard saying in the video as he and his mother laugh while she drives, muttering, &quot;Give me the right-of-way!&quot;\u00ab<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;That&#039;s why they took away your license,&quot; Smith jokes in the video.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;Today, 6 months ago, my mom died. Instead of cursing the darkness, I&#039;ll light a candle: In March 2025, I took my mom to @daveandbusters to play games,&quot; he wrote in the caption of his post. &quot;I&#039;m so glad we went that day, because 9 months later, she passed away. Grace died just two days after the film&#039;s director <em>\u00abClerks\u00bb<\/em> He noted in a separate social media post that his mother &quot;suddenly found herself at death&#039;s door&quot; but had recovered from her illness and was in hospital.<\/p>\n<p> \u00ab&quot;The bill for 55 years of unconditional love came on December 1st, and the price I paid was having to watch the strongest person I&#039;ve ever known\u2014my favorite person in the world\u2014pass away after a lifetime dedicated to her children. My mom is gone,&quot; Smith wrote in a touching message at the time.
