Uyghur, co-founder of The Young Turks and a staunch critic of Israel, regularly appeared on Morgan's program. The British conservative news anchor even suggested that some of Uyghur's on-air comments could have led to his entry ban.<\/p>\n

Uyghur previously appeared on Morgan's program and stated that he intended to "greatly insult Israel" and was unsure whether he would be arrested for his views. Morgan also defended his regular guest, claiming that his rhetoric was not that of an "extremist or a dangerous purveyor of threats and hatred.".<\/p>\n

Both the London SXSW festival, the British Parliament, and the Home Office issued statements following Uygur and Piker's publications.<\/p>\n
The Home Office explained that the decision was taken "on the basis that their presence in the UK may not be conducive to the public good," adding: "Decisions to refuse or revoke electronic entry clearance on these grounds are made solely based on an assessment of the potential risk an individual may pose to the UK public.".<\/p>\n
