The classic rock revival continues. Pioneers of progressive rock Emerson, Lake & Palmer<\/strong> released a restored video for their nominated for the Grammy Award<\/strong> \u00bb"cover version of the song"\u00ab Peter Gunn<\/strong> \u00bb" and also announced the re-release of their album Works Live<\/em><\/strong> , which will be released July 24<\/strong> on the label BMG<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

In the newly released video, the band showcases their explosive interpretation of an instrumental composition originally written by the legendary composer. Henry Mancini<\/strong> for a detective series NBC "\u00ab<\/strong> Peter Gunn"\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> 1958 ELP first premiered their version in In 1977<\/strong> , transforming the noir theme into a large-scale, energetic concert show that became an integral part of their stage performances and later earned the group a nomination for Grammy Awards\u00ab<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

Simultaneously with the release of the video clip, the group's album Works Live<\/em><\/strong> is being reissued in a new, remastered format, reportedly in accordance with the late Keith Emerson<\/strong> about the double vinyl edition. The updated edition will also include new artwork and liner notes.<\/p>\n

Although Emerson<\/strong> , Greg Lake<\/strong> \u0438 Carl Palmer<\/strong> defined the band's early days, Palmer continues to champion the band's legacy through his multimedia touring project,\u00ab Welcome Back My Friends - An Evening With Emerson, Lake & Palmer"\u00bb<\/strong><\/em> , which combines live performances with archival and digital recreations of his late bandmates. Today, the song has skyrocketed to fame again, not only thanks to a sizzling new music video and ELP album news, but also because the magnificent track was featured in a trailer for a new film.
