Shortly after the PBS broadcast, MAGA supporters and conservatives alike voiced their opinions, accusing the program of corrupting and sexualizing children.<\/p>\n
Such accusations are nothing new; in fact, they have been used for decades to demonize members of the LGBTQ+ community. A 2022 report by the Human Rights Campaign found that, following the passage of Florida's so-called "Don't Say Gay" law, anti-LGBTQ+ narratives about sexual violence against men have exploded across social media.<\/p>\n
