Welsh actor and star TV series "Twin Peaks"\u00ab<\/em> Owain Rhys Davies has died at the age of 44, his brother announced in a heartbreaking statement. The actor's family announced on June 2 that he died "suddenly, naturally, and peacefully.".<\/p>\n

Owain is best known for his role as Agent Wilson in the revival series \u00abTwin Peaks: The Return\u00bb<\/em> 2017, and also starred in the Netflix drama \u00abOA\u00bb<\/em> and the 2016 film \u00abAlice Through the Looking Glass\u00bb<\/em> , which starred such stars as Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, the late Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp.<\/p>\n

The actor's brother, Rhodri, wrote on Instagram: "It is with deep sadness that my father and I announce the passing of my brother Owen.".<\/p>\n

\u00ab"This news will come as a great shock to many. While the circumstances of his death remain unanswered, we know at this stage that Owen passed away suddenly, naturally, and peacefully," he said.<\/p>\n

The star's brother noted that Owen's "love, friendship and generosity were immense" and said they "take comfort in the fact that he was so loved.".<\/p>\n

He continued, "Owen was fortunate to have more than just one family. Beyond his biological family, he formed extraordinary, almost familial bonds with many of his closest friends, colleagues, and loved ones. I'm incredibly proud that, while he was my brother, he was a brother to so many others.".<\/p>\n

    Numerous condolences have begun to appear on social media in connection with the star's death.<\/p>\n

    On the show's account \u00abTwin Peaks\u00bb<\/em> Condolences were expressed to the actor's loved ones on Instagram. "Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him," the obituary read. "Thank you for being a part of the Twin Peaks world, Agent Wilson.".<\/p>\n

    Meanwhile, the Welsh National Theatre said Owain's work had "enriched Welsh theatre and film" and noted that his "passion, creativity and dedication have had an indelible impact on the cultural life of Wales.".<\/p>\n
