Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts will join a new team of superstars this month.<\/p>\n
Betts is preparing for his first appearance in the Marvel Universe, voicing a character in the upcoming season of Iron Man and His Fantastic Friends.<\/p>\n
Betts voices Dizzy Doubleday, whom Disney describes as "a baseball player who loves helping little kids learn the game.".<\/p>\n
Naturally, Dizzy Doubleday is depicted in blue. <\/p>\n

According to Disney representatives, he will appear in the film alongside Jessica Mendoza, an analyst for SportsNet LA who plays Dottie Doubleday, Dizzy's sister and the owner of the local baseball training center.<\/p>\n
New episodes of Iron Man and His Amazing Friends will air June 11 at 7 a.m. ET\/PT on Disney Jr. Channel and the following day, June 12, on Disney+.<\/p>\n
\u00abIron Man and His Fantastic Friends isn't the only place you'll see Betts show off his acting chops.<\/p>\n
Betts and his daughter Kinley recently starred in Toy Story 5. <\/p>\n

In this ad, Kinley is sitting on a bench playing with his tablet, Lilypad, which is the antagonist in the new installment of the franchise.<\/p>\n
Betts is practicing his swing on the field, but luckily, with the help of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the others, he manages to get Kinley's attention and get her off the bench and into the game.<\/p>\n
Betts had a rocky start to the 2026 season, suffering an oblique strain just eight games into the season.<\/p>\n
He has since returned, although his statistics are not yet up to the level expected of a former MVP.<\/p>\n
His stats are .196\/.259\/.402\/.661 with six home runs and 16 RBI.<\/p>\n
He also failed to steal a base on either of his two attempts.<\/p>\n
Fans reacted negatively to his poor start to the season, and he himself expressed some disappointment about it.<\/p>\n
