After the resounding success \u00ab"Barbie"\u00bb<\/em> Mattel is bringing another iconic franchise to the big screen -\u00ab Masters of the Universe\u00bb<\/em> Travis Knight. In the film, Nicholas Galitzine plays Adam Glenn\/He-Man, and the actor bulked up to achieve his superhero-toned look. It turns out he almost adopted his signature bob cut, and Galitzine told CinemaBlend why they decided to change his hairstyle for the big screen.<\/p>\n Information about in the film "Masters of the Universe"\u00ab<\/em> is quite limited, but the actors spoke with CinemaBlend's Jeff McCobb ahead of the film's release. As you can see in the video above, Nicholas Galitzin was asked about He-Man's cartoonish haircut, and the actor, known for his work on the film, \u00abThe Idea of You\u00bb<\/em> , he replied:<\/p>\n Look, we certainly talked a lot about the hairstyle. He-Man's bob is certainly iconic, but in the context of the story we wanted to tell, it didn't quite fit. So I definitely envisioned something more majestic, more heroic. In a way, but also something that could be expanded upon.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n There were some comments. Although the reviews on "Masters of the Universe"\u00ab<\/em> While the film's comedic appeal was praised, Galitzin's cartoon-style bob-like hairstyle as He-Man may have looked a bit out of place. While he still has long blond hair, this version is slightly less outlandish than the original film.<\/p>\n It is obvious that He-Man's appearance in \u00abMasters of the Universe\u00bb<\/em> Particular attention was paid, even without taking into account the actor's physical attributes. He later told CinemaBlend about the difference between He-Man's hairstyle and Adam's when he's not transformed. Galitzine said:<\/p>\n Because obviously, when we meet Adam on Earth, his hair is a little greasier, a little flatter. There's less life in it. And so we decided to create a kind of evolution, to, I would say, simulate Adam's growing sense of strength and self-confidence.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As someone who was lucky enough to see \u00abMasters of the Universe\u00bb<\/em> First and foremost, I have to say that the work on He-Man's hair really paid off. Not only did Adam become more muscular during the transformation, but his hair also changed. And I couldn't help but admire He-Man's hair while watching the movie on the big screen.<\/p>\n It was very interesting to see how various characters were adapted from live-action films for the new film. \u00abMasters of the Universe\u00bb<\/em> . Although Teela has a new, less revealing costume, He-Man is more faithful to the source material. We can only wait for the sequel and whether Nicholas Galitzine's lead character will receive a new look.<\/p>\n The film "Masters of the Universe"\u00ab<\/em> will hit theaters on June 5th and will be included in the 2026 release schedule.
