In a recent TikTok video, Donald Trump suggested he may never remove the UFC structure from the White House lawn.<\/p>\n

\u00ab"A lot of people don't know that in Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower\u2014it was built in 1889\u2014was supposed to be torn down right after the World's Fair, but then they said, 'We kind of like it, let's keep it up a little bit longer,'" Trump said in the video. "And then they said, 'Let's keep it up longer, and longer, and longer.'".<\/p>\n

The president added: "Well, they never took it down, and you know, we're building something in front of the White House that's very attractive to a lot of people, and there's a big UFC fight there on June 14th, and I look at it, and we may never take it down.".<\/p>\n

Trump also said, "I've been to a lot of big events. But none have generated as much interest as the UFC fight that's going to be right outside my door.".<\/p>\n

\u00abThe "cage," or octagon, is the official arena for all mixed martial arts fights within the UFC. According to the UFC's official website, "a sturdy, plastic-lined fence prevents athletes from falling outside the octagon, as can happen in a traditional boxing, kickboxing, or Muay Thai ring.".<\/p>\n

An arched octagon is being built at the White House for the UFC Freedom 250 MMA tournament. The event, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence, will feature six primetime bouts.<\/p>\n
