On June 2, the company announced that Scorsese would be assisting them as a consultant in developing visual intelligence for their website.<\/p>\n<p> The director of &quot;The Wolf of Wall Street&quot; explained his decision to embrace AI in a new statement. He revealed that he plans to use AI tools in the storyboarding process during pre-production (as reported by Entertainment Weekly).<\/p>\n<p> Scorsese explained that he&#039;s been creating storyboards himself for 70 years. He acknowledged that translating his vision onto paper and communicating it to the cast and crew during production is a challenging task. The seasoned director reflected, &quot;I&#039;m interested in the intersection of technology and storytelling, and how it can expand the boundaries of creativity, creating deeper and richer experiences for audiences.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> The director explained that throughout his career, he has embraced and mastered new technologies. Scorsese stated, &quot;Remember, cinema is a young art form, only about 125 years old, so we have to be open to how it can evolve.&quot; Notably, the director discussed how he used 3D for &quot;Hugo&quot; and de-aging technology for &quot;The Irishman.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p> Scorsese said that now, thanks to AI tools, he can better explain his vision. He can also communicate more effectively with his creative team. The Taxi Driver director admitted that &quot;being able to visualize and instantly share storyboards has given me creative freedom.&quot; He added that time is valuable, and these AI tools allowed them to work faster without sacrificing quality or craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p> Scorsese is directing his next film, an adaptation of Peter Cameron&#039;s gothic detective novel What Happens at Night.
