Kate Hudson's son, Ryder, officially graduated from New York University, and his mom couldn't be more proud. She and her family celebrated the milestone with a party. Hudson chose the perfect celebratory top for the occasion. Instead of a classic little black dress, she opted for his little sister, model LBT. Her little black top was embellished with lace, a floral jacquard pattern, and a bohemian lace-up belt. She completed the look with a pendant on a chain and a chunky ring on her index finger. Her hair was worn loose and in soft, natural waves. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, and Hawn's longtime partner, Kurt Russell, were also in attendance.

Along with photos from the event, Hudson shared a touching dedication to her son.
«I remember looking into baby Ryder’s eyes. I was young, but I was determined as a mother,» Hudson began in the Instagram caption. «I thought I knew exactly what I was doing. Isn’t time a wonderful reminder to reflect and consider all the things we thought we knew but never really imagined? The future was ahead, and I wondered, «Who will this child be one day? What will their favorite food be? Will they be funny? Serious? Complex? Will they be fun? Oh, God, please make them cool. Will they be able to navigate life with understanding? Will they be happy?» That last question is the most important to me, but there are countless questions.».
Hudson continued to reflect on her maternal anxiety. "It arises daily, and I believe most mothers experience it, even if they can't quite pinpoint what it is," she wrote.

She continued, «And then suddenly! One day, you’re at your firstborn’s college graduation. He’s cheerful, energetic, kind. All of his friends are wonderful and unique, all different. He loves his family, his siblings, and, gosh, he loves his mom. Many questions were answered, many remain, of course, but on that celebratory evening, I felt this young man bringing so much love into the world. And that’s the greatest comfort a mother can have. Seeing him ready for new adventures. I allow myself a quiet moment of pride, and I hope many moms and dads who have been going through the same thing this past week do the same. To the graduates! ☀️»
