Miranda Lambert has revealed how she provided moral support to Ella Langley as she navigated her rapid career advancement.

After co-writing Langley's chart-topping hit "Choosin' Texas," Lambert, in a new interview with Billboard spoke about how she supported the country star on her way to her recent fame.

The 42-year-old singer-songwriter, known for her hit "Kerosene," spoke to the publication about her approach to helping other women in country music. "I try to use the knowledge I've gained over more than 20 years in the industry to truly support the younger generation, be there for them, and answer their questions," she said. "Sometimes I know the right thing to do because I've done it wrong myself.".

Lambert explained that she didn't expect "Choosin' Texas" to be such a big hit and had never "seen anything like it" before in her career. "So when Ella calls and asks, 'What does that mean?' I'm like, 'I don't know. You might want to call Taylor Swift right now [and ask her], because it's really something incredible,'" she said.

Langley, 27, expressed gratitude for Lambert's support. "There's no set rulebook in this job," she told the publication. "So it's really helpful to have someone like her there to ask questions like, 'Is this something I should be doing?' And she says, 'Of course I should!' It's just a wonderful time for both of us.".

Lambert says she's "just encouraging" Langley. "I'm either reassuring her or encouraging her, because she knows exactly what she wants," the "Crisco" singer said. "We're girls, we're constantly reassuring each other.".

The song "Choosin' Texas" was released in October 2025 and became Langley's first single to reach number one on the Billboard chart Hot 100. It was included on her latest album. Dandelion , which was released in April and debuted at number one on the Billboard chart 200.

The album also includes a duet between Lambert and Langley called "Butterfly Season.".
