In his memoirs, released on June 2, the star reality show "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"« directly addresses the circulating rumors about plastic surgery.

«"One of the longest-running stories about me has nothing to do with friendship or enmity. It's about plastic surgery," she writes. "Apparently, depending on the week, I've had everything from rhinoplasty to cheek implants, chin implants, and full facial reconstruction. I've even heard of a 'face transplant.' Creative.".

Kemsley explains that, as a public figure, she understands why people speculate, but she gets upset when rumors are presented as fact.

«"People don't say, 'Maybe she had something done.' They state it as a fact," she says. "As if they were in the operating room holding my hand. At this point, some people talk about my proposed surgeries with such certainty that I almost expect them to send me my own post-op instructions.".

Then she tells what was done to her and what was not.

«"For the record: no rhinoplasty. No facelift. No chin implants. No cheek implants. No reconstructive surgery," she writes.

Kemsley continues: "I've always been open about having breast surgery. I've never hidden it. So it always seemed odd to me that people would assume I could admit to one surgery and lie about another. What difference does it make?"«

She later confirmed that she had had Botox injections, fillers and veneers.

The reality TV star recalls taking another step to dispel rhinoplasty rumors.

«"I went live on Instagram with one of Beverly Hills' top plastic surgeons—a man I'd just met—and asked him on camera if he could tell if someone had had a rhinoplasty just by looking at them," she says. "He said yes. Then I asked him to examine my nose live. His conclusion? No signs of surgery. Was I surprised? Not at all.".

Kemsley also says that she enjoys grooming herself and considers it a hobby.

«"I like to look beautiful. I always have. I love bright lipstick, pronounced cheekbones, and striking eyelashes," she writes. "That doesn't mean I'm self-conscious about my face; it just means I like to show off. Some people collect bags. I collect looks. It's the same hobby, just a little more visible.".
