One of cinema's most moving abilities is its ability to capture, expand, and compress time. For movie stars in particular, old films offer the opportunity to capture moments of their youth, old age, and everything in between.
This process becomes especially remarkable when two famous stars who played a beloved couple in a time-tested classic reunite on screen after a long break - such as when Harrison Ford and Karen Allen as Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood met again after 25 years in in the film "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"« (2008), and then again in in the film "The Dial of Fate"« (2023).
These later collaborations trace viewers' memories of their past collaborations, giving the characters an untold history and placing even lesser-known films in a larger cinematic context.

Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy

Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn didn't really need to meet in person.
