And now, 63 years later, according to the report Deadline , the film is being remade as a miniseries. This large-scale project, which is being offered to buyers thanks to Universal International Studios, will star Sarah Snook .
As reported by Deadline , a new version of the film «Birds» Described as a gripping, modern take on the Hitchcock classic, set in Alaska, the plot centers on a murder mystery and introduces new characters, led by a new protagonist, Myra Massey (Snook). English author Du Maurier's 1952 short story was set in her home county of Cornwall, while Hitchcock's film adaptation, as die-hard fans may remember, was set in Bodega Bay, California.
Then there's 38-year-old Snook, who most recently starred in the film «"It's all her fault"» — the Peacock hit, and it brought Snook back into the Emmy spotlight for her role as a mother whose child is kidnapped. She previously earned three Primetime Emmy nominations for her role as Shiv Roy on« Heirs »" on HBO, winning it in 2023. On top of that, last year she won a Tony Award for her role in the play "The Picture of Dorian Gray"« .
