In a survey published Friday (May 29) on Billboard website , listeners have chosen the star's long-awaited return to the music scene as their favorite release of the week.

"Hate That I Made You Love Me" topped the charts in a week that also saw new releases from Latto, aespa, and others. By the time the poll closed on Sunday, Grande was comfortably ahead, with over 501,000 votes.
«"Hate That I Made You Love Me" is the first track from Grande's eighth studio album, Petal (released July 31), and her first new music release—outside of her film career—since the album's release Eternal Sunshine in 2024, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Petal will be released on Grande's BabyDoll Music label, licensed to Republic Records.
«"I hate that I made you love me / I'm sorry if I made myself yours / Yeah, I, I hate that I made you love me / 'Cause I hardly tried," she sings on the chorus.
The song was released on Friday, with the official music video set to drop on Monday morning (June 1).

Among the new releases lagging behind "Hate That I Made You Love Me" this week is Latto's "« Big Mama» , which received 26% votes, and the album aespa "« LEMONADE – The 2nd Album» , who received 14% votes.
