ImGist - I Am the Essence

Fox News: Sean Hannity received a stern warning about Republicans' chances in the midterm elections.

A month after pollster Matt Towery tried to put a positive spin on President Donald Trump's plummeting approval ratings, he shared a more dire forecast for the Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections.

On Monday evening (June 1), speaking at Hannity's program On Fox News, Towery was asked which states he thought the Republican Party might have "opportunities to gain additional votes," including New Hampshire, Michigan and Georgia.

«"Well, Sean, it's too early to say anything right now," he replied, as reported by Mediaite. "One thing that worries me is Republican turnout. In Georgia, Democrats attracted 150,000 more voters than Republicans in this red state—Georgia. To me, that's a bad sign.".

Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is defending his congressional seat in a state where all 14 congressional districts are up for grabs. The state is currently represented in the House of Representatives by nine Republicans and five Democrats.

Last month, Towery told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Trump's low approval ratings were nothing to worry about. "The pollsters are wrong, and I'm right," he said, insisting that the president's approval ratings among Republicans are at their best ever and are "at their peak.".

A month later, Towery was less optimistic, telling Hannity, "More needs to be done now to lay the groundwork" if Republicans are to succeed in the midterm elections.

«"And I'll say one more thing. I don't think President Trump's achievements are being adequately publicized," he added. "They see this... this barrage of criticism from the liberal media. All they hear is war. The president has achieved phenomenal results, including, by the way, another stock market record, I think today.".

«"But no one is hearing about it," Towery continued, "and I think Republicans need to start making that case, whether through advertising or anything else, right now, because it will be too late in October and November.".
