Lionsgate has acquired the rights to Tortures of the Damned, the next horror project from Frightful creator Damien Leone, TheWrap has learned.
Leone will write, direct, and produce the project, which will be his next film after completing "Terrifier 4," currently in pre-production. Leone will join producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, who will produce the film through their Ghost House label.
The film studio and the creators of the film are keeping the plot secret.

Scott O'Brien and Pavan Kalidindi will oversee the project for Lionsgate. Romel Adam and José Cañas will oversee the project for Ghost House and serve as executive producers.
Dan Friedman negotiated the deals for the studio.
Leone is best known as the writer and director of the Fearless franchise.
Raimi's most recent directorial credit was the critically acclaimed horror film "Help." His upcoming projects include directing and producing a remake of the classic horror film "Magic" for Lionsgate.
Raimi is represented by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller. Leone is represented by WME and Zerner Law.
