Is there really a video showing a woman behaving inappropriately "before" she was photographed surrounded by Patriot Front members on a subway train on July 4, 2026? No, it's not true: the video captioned "before Patriot Front" is fake. Google's verification tool Gemini determined that the video "was edited or generated using Google's artificial intelligence.".
The 15-second video appeared in a post by X's account @ryanasanchez on July 6, 2026 (archive available here). The caption read:
We are talking about that very «strong woman»:

The first eight seconds of the 15-second video show a woman kneeling and leaning forward, pulling down her shorts, then standing up and pulling them back up. A translucent black text box conceals an illegible social media handle (image above). The legible text, in white letters, reads:
BEFORE THE PATRIOTIC FRONT
At nine seconds, the video cuts to a static image, which is an actual Reuters press photo taken on July 4, 2026. The caption for the photo, posted on reutersconnect.com, reads:

Also, at the ninth second of @ryanasanchez's video, a text box is superimposed on a static image (see below). It reads:

Lead Stories took an eight-second clip from the first part of the video and uploaded it to Google Gemini, asking if it had a SynthID watermark. The response (image below) stated, in part:
The video you shared was edited or generated using Google's AI, as evidenced by SynthID signals detected in both the visual and audio image.
Google DeepMind's watermark, called SynthID (archive available here), is detectable by the company's own verification tools but invisible to the human eye.
One of the flaws visible in the video—typical of errors created by artificial intelligence—is the reflection in the subway train window. The seats and handrails are reflected, but the blue plastic bag on the seat is not (see image below).
