The film "Goldfinger", perhaps most famous for the insane way in which the protagonist kills his aide-de-camp, Jill Masterson, played by Shirley Eaton:
He kills her by painting her with gold paint, causing her to die from suffocation on her skin.
In the photo above, Sean Connery is making sure the real Eaton isn't suffocating, despite her golden body art. She seems fine.

Unfortunately, he never lived to see the success of Thunderball, which remains the most successful of all the James Bond films, in terms of adjusted US box office receipts.

Sean Connery as James Bond with his true love: the iconic Aston Martin, one of the most beautiful cars in cinema history.
A fully restored Aston Martin DB5 from the film "Goldfinger"« was sold for $6.4 million in 2019. Auction house RM Sotheby's stated at the time that the car included features such as "hydraulic rams on the bumpers, a .30 caliber Browning machine gun in each fender, tire puncture devices mounted on the wheel hubs, a pop-up rear bulletproof glass, an integrated tracking radar, oil, spike and smoke screen sprayers, revolving license plates and a passenger seat ejection system.".

The gun-point scene is, of course, the opening sequence of the film, in which Bond, wearing a hat, walks across the screen in profile and suddenly turns to fire at the audience, as the Bond theme music plays.

It reportedly took 90 minutes to apply the gold paint to Eaton, but it was worth it: her image, covered in gold paint, graced the cover of the magazine. LIFE as part of the advertising campaign for the film, the third of 27 James Bond films.

Shirley Eaton is all beaming with happiness, even covered in gold paint.
Eaton, a British actress, also known for her roles in the series «Carry On» , retired from acting in 1969 to devote herself to her family, but in 1999 she released her autobiography, which received the wonderful title «Golden Girl» .
It was a bestseller, and she subsequently published three more books.

Orson Welles was considered for the role of Goldfinger, the gold magnate obsessed with the soft metal, but he asked for too much. (Wouldn't that have made him even more suitable for the role?)
Fröbe, a German actress, was voiced by actor Michael Collins, continuing a tradition of sorts in the James Bond films: Ursula Andress was similarly voiced in the original Bond film.« Dr. No» .
From Russia with love

Tanya Mallet, who played Jill's sister, Tilly Masterson, poses for an amateur photographer named Sean Connery.
Mallett, an English actress and model who sometimes signed her name with two Ts, had a background story straight out of a James Bond film: on her mother's side, she was descended from Russian aristocrats.
She auditioned for the role of Tatiana Romanova in the second James Bond film, «From Russia with Love» , but the filmmakers rejected her because of her British accent.
How Sean Connery Became James Bond

Ian Fleming (left) initially didn't think Connery resembled the impossibly elegant James Bond of his novels, who, of course, resembled Fleming himself.
But he soon appreciated the Scottish actor's appeal, and in one of his novels written after Connery landed the role, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, he even "responded to Connery's cinematic Bond image by adding a touch of Scottish blood," as Nicholas Shakespeare wrote in a recent book Ian Fleming's "The Ideal Man", an excerpt from which you can read here.
