The owners of the Heirloom Hotel are addressing fans' concerns as the rebuilding process continues.
The hotel's renovation became the focus of the series' latest spin-off. «Home Town» Erin and Ben Napier, «Inn This Together» , which concluded its four-episode run on Sunday, May 31. In the finale, the Napiers and their friends Jim and Mallory Rasberry and Josh Nowell showed off the renovated hotel to local officials. However, the episode ended with a depiction of the aftermath of a fire in August 2025, which severely damaged the hotel and delayed its official opening.
The hotel owners shared their experience of renovating The Heirloom Podcast . In the latest episode of the podcast, filmed just 30 days after the fire, Jim and Nowell discussed how fans can support them during the recovery process.
«"On the first, second, third day, the first week, so many people wanted to help us through GoFundMe," Nowell said in the episode that aired on Saturday, May 30. "And first of all, I want to say thank you. Thank you for caring, for understanding how the fire is affecting people financially. It means and will mean a lot to us.".
Instead of raising money on GoFundMe, Nowell and Jim encouraged listeners to support their local communities. "Find someone in your community who has been affected by a fire or loss and help them, give them financial assistance. We appreciate it, and I think it will do much more good for your community," Nowell said. "So thank you for suggesting this, but this would be my first recommendation for donations. Give money to people in your community who have experienced a fire, to charities or churches you trust.".
Jim added, "Someone in your community is doing something they're not getting paid for, something that's not helping their image in the community. They're not doing it for themselves. They're doing it for the people in your city. I assure you, there's someone like that out there. I want you to find them. I want you to find them and give them a word of encouragement. And if you can't give money, give them your time, even if it's just one small thing, because, you know, those people who contribute because they think it's their job often lose motivation.".

After the show's finale Home Town: Inn This Together On Sunday, the Heirloom Hotel's official Instagram page announced that fans can support the renovation by purchasing a photo frame made from the hotel's original flooring.
«"Looking at this, we're inspired by the thought that no matter how devastated, beautiful things can still emerge from the ashes," they captioned the post. "We build for the people we build for, and we hope you will too.".
