Tapper criticized Jill's defense of Joe Biden's mental and physical health in the summer of 2024, calling it "very hard to believe, if not downright false.".
In response to Tapper's criticism, Hunter wrote, "So, let's get this straight. Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my mom." Mentioning Trump's daughter and son-in-law, he continued, "Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on guarded Albanian land. Don Jr. married Epstein's banker's daughter, and the startup his foundation backs just received a record-breaking $620 million Pentagon loan.".
Hunter added, "Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5 billion in the midst of a war with Iran that no one wanted. And I know, 'But what about your paintings, Hunter?' Please.".
