Hunter Biden criticized Jake Tapper for criticizing his mother.
In a June 3 post, Hunter Biden lashed out at CNN host Jake Tapper for criticizing his mother, Jill Biden, in his review of the former first lady's new memoir, "View from the East Wing." Tapper criticized Jill's defense of Joe Biden's mental and physical health in the summer of 2024, calling it "very hard to believe, if not downright false.".
In response to Tapper's criticism, Hunter wrote, "So, let's get this straight. Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my mom." Mentioning Trump's daughter and son-in-law, he continued, "Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on guarded Albanian land. Don Jr. married Epstein's banker's daughter, and the startup his foundation backs just received a record-breaking $620 million Pentagon loan.".
Hunter added, "Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5 billion in the midst of a war with Iran that no one wanted. And I know, 'But what about your paintings, Hunter?' Please.".
Hunter's attack on Tapper followed shortly after a CNN journalist's scathing review of Jill's new book. Tapper then mentioned his book, "Original Sin," which he co-authored with Axios reporter Alex Thompson. He claimed it detailed "problems with Joe's mental capacity that became significantly worse in 2023 and 2024, but were present before. Of course, none of them are described in her book.".
The CNN anchor continued, "The question was never whether he was good, wise, or shared the same values." He added, "It was about his ability to run for president, win the campaign, and serve as president. The best she can say about it is that he'll be 'able enough.' 'Capable enough?'"«
Jill recently responded to Andrew Bates, the Biden administration's deputy press secretary, who criticized her book. According to the New York Post, Bates said, "I don't understand why we need to reopen this painful party conversation publicly now." Jill retorted, "I want to tell Andrew: Call me and say it to my face, man.".
