There are rumors that Spider-Man will become Spider-Man in the movie "Modern Days".
Peter Parker will reportedly transform into Spider-Man in Spider-Man: New Day. Marvel insider MyTimeToShineHello stated on X (formerly Twitter): "Peter will actually transform into Spider-Man in New Day. A first for the cinema.".
There were previous rumors that Spider-Man would not appear in the film. But the latest rumors from MTTSH contradict those that emerged before the film's release.
The first trailer hinted at Parker's physical transformation. Tom Holland's Peter Parker now shoots organic webbing, rather than the synthetic webbing of his multiverse counterpart, played by Tobey Maguire. In some shots, his eyes turn black, and the webbing appears strong enough to cut through a katana. So, this latest information is likely to be true.
With rumors swirling that the Hulk will become even larger, transforming into the Grey Hulk, Peter may need a power-up in the form of Spider-Man to stop him. However, despite the adventurer's infamous reputation, Spider-Man's appearance in the film should be treated with caution, at least until the new trailer is released.
Spider-Man first appeared in Marvel Fanfare #2 in the 1980s, the result of experiments on the mutant Peter. The character gained greater fame in the 1990s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series. In that series, Dr. Connors warned Peter that his spider-mutation had not stopped. Peter eventually developed four extra arms, began shooting acid from his mouth, and spewed webbing from each limb. Ultimately, he transformed into a massive, fanged, multi-legged creature with little control over his instincts.
The animated series also featured the Punisher, who hunted the creature alongside Kraven the Hunter. Jon Bernthal now plays the Punisher in "Brand New Day," and the trailer shows his confrontation with Parker. Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, appears to be playing the role of a doctor developing a cure for Peter's illness.
New Day already features an impressive cast of characters and villains. Michael Mando returns as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III plays Tombstone. Sadie Sink joins the cast in an as-yet-undisclosed but reportedly significant role. AMC Theaters recently announced the film's running time at 150 minutes, making it the longest Spider-Man film to date.
The film will premiere in cinemas on July 31.
