If there is a series that I am talking about would begged (I don't usually do that) and which I would exactly looked, if he ever came back, then this «The Deadliest Warrior» on Spike TV, which aired for three seasons from 2009 to 2011.
I know Spike TV is gone (it's now known as Paramount Network), but I don't even need Spike to get my fix, as the concept of two historical warriors facing off for the title of deadliest is still original. I'd happily watch it again if more episodes were released.
So, although «The Deadliest Warrior» and was not such a prestigious series as «"Breaking Bad"» or «The Wire» , it still remains one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and here's why.

Thanks to science, questions have been resolved that sincerely kept me awake at night.
Robocop vs. Terminator . Godzilla vs. King Kong . Freddy vs. Jason . These are crossover battles, which I'm not particularly worried about, since these battles have already happened, and I know their outcome. However, this is all fictional characters, so there's no "certainty" about who will actually win, since it all depends on the author. So what?
However, sometimes I Not It keeps me awake wondering who would win in a fight: a samurai or a Spartan (especially given my love of samurai movies), or a pirate versus a knight? George Washington's army versus Napoleon's? Joan of Arc versus William the Conqueror? Such thoughts shouldn't It's going through my head at two in the morning, but sometimes it happens when I can't sleep.
Fortunately, The Deadliest Warrior show« helped allay these fears. And it wasn't just talk: historical experts were brought in to determine what weapons, armor, and combat strategies would be most effective if these historical warriors actually fought to the death.
Frankly, I miss the kind of "reality" shows you could see in the early 2010s. Besides, for its time, it looked pretty good, as I'll get to later.

The quality of the production was truly impressive… considering the resources they had.
The 2000s were an interesting time for both movies and TV shows, as the quality was uneven. For example, some looked really good, while others were absolutely terrible.
This is especially true in television, where I feel like many studios were doing the best they could with limited budgets (hence why many DC CW shows relied more on gripping storytelling than special effects). Well, in "Deadliest Warrior"« A similar problem arose with the battle simulations, as the costumes, weapons, and scenery were clearly not fooling anyone.
Nevertheless, the film accomplished its mission. The lab scenes were minimalist at best, but when the actual reenactments of the events were shown, they acquired a gritty charm that transported you to the moment when these two disparate warriors would fight to the death.
Again, it's certainly not Disney+-level special effects, but for its genre, it still worked, and that was crucial. So, while I understand I'll likely never get the original series back, could I please get something like «"The Deadliest Warrior"» with my Netflix subscription? Because that would be really cool.
