After the incident, the rapper repeatedly tried to make peace with Latto through her sister, boss, and private messages, but nothing worked.

In a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Latto revealed that the dig at Cardi B was simply a line she casually inserted into her track, and she didn't intend it to be controversial. The line came about when she rushed to participate in the recording of Cardi B's album early in her pregnancy, shortly before the scandal broke.
«"I was in the early stages of pregnancy and rushed to the studio to record this verse for the first week of sales of her album," Latto said. "Literally two days later, I saw people calling me a slut online.".
Indeed, Cardi B expressed regret, but it took six weeks before Latto received a direct message from her. By then, the matter had ceased to bother her, and they haven't spoken since.
