Alexandra Grant has opened up about her relationship with Keanu Reeves. .
The renowned artist, 53, spoke to PEOPLE on Thursday at the launch of her new wine brand, LOVEwine, in Los Angeles about how she and the 61-year-old actor, who played John Wick , combine creativity and romantic relationships.
«"He's always so grateful, so I think he's always careful with his feedback, and I'd say the same," Grant explained. "You always have to be respectful and let the other person bake their own cake. Even just talking about my love makes me sweat.".

Grant explained that she sees similarities in her creative process and Reeves's dedication to his craft. "When he's getting into character, for example, I have tremendous respect for his understanding that that's the middle or the end of the project, right? And I think the same thing applies to painting," she mused. "When I'm in artist mode, I'm completely immersed in the process. I'm completely immersed, and it's not just playing a character, it's a kind of performance, you know, painting is a form of performance too.".
The artist also noted that she and Reeves feel comfortable discussing their creative ideas verbally, but also understand that they often need space to work on their projects independently.
«"I would say the world offers a vast array of opportunities for communication, and we can discuss any problem, task, or creative idea, and discuss it endlessly if necessary. Furthermore, we respect each person's need for deep immersion and process, perhaps in silence or through other collaborations," she explained.
«"So I would say the key to success is mutual respect, and also, well, it's a game, right? It's a game we can play creatively. And the last thing I think we have in common is a belief in the projects," Grant continued. "Every project has its own autonomy, its own team, its own rules, its own beginning, middle, and end. So we're both project people, and, you know, I lived with John Wick, I lived with Neo.".

Grant and Reeves first made headlines together at an event at LACMA in Los Angeles in November 2019. However, Jennifer Tilly, who is friends with Grant, speculated that the pair had been dating for some time before that event. "I remember a couple of years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Grant] said, 'Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend,' and I was like, 'Wait. What? What? What?'" she told Page Six in February 2020.
