Christine Taylor has said the COVID-19 pandemic saved her marriage to Ben Stiller after the couple split nearly 10 years ago.
«"If there was one silver lining to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was this little gift," Taylor, 54, shared on Tuesday's episode of the "McBride Rewind" podcast. .
«"We all spent time together with the kids. Our daughter was finishing high school, and our son was in eighth grade. We were all at home, and we had a lot of free time.".

Stiller and Taylor are the parents of two children: Ella, 24, and Quinlin, 20.
Taylor told the host that she and the Night at the Museum star "found their way back together" after spending "a lot of time" working on their relationship with a therapist.
«"I think people don't like to talk about it because it's perceived as a failure.".

Taylor added that she believed the reason for their split was because "we didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things.".
The couple announced their separation in 2017 after 17 years of marriage.
«"With great love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we have shared together as a couple, we have decided to separate," Stiller and Taylor said in a joint statement at the time.

«"Our priority will remain raising our children as devoted parents and closest friends. We kindly ask the media to respect our privacy during this time," they concluded.
However, the break was short-lived, as Stiller later confirmed in a 2022 interview with Esquire magazine that the couple had rekindled their relationship. .
«"We broke up, and then we got back together, and we're glad we did. It was truly wonderful for all of us. It was unexpected, and that's one of the consequences of the pandemic," the actor told the publication.
