In a May 2026 Instagram post, 64-year-old Rosie O'Donnell described herself as someone who she believed would "never, ever" get a facelift: "I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women around the world," but then "I lost 50 pounds..."«
After much deliberation, she opted for a deep lower facelift, which "cost more than I've ever paid for a car"... and the reaction was muted: "Not a single person. Not a friend, not a stranger, not even those who owed me compliments. My teenage daughter didn't say a word. Nothing. I went through a real existential feminist crisis, had surgery on my face and neck, and the result... zero.".
But she's happy with the results, and with her decision to accept her feelings for what they are, no matter what stage of life she's in, and do what's best for her.

When the internet marveled at Kris Jenner's new face in May 2025, the 69-year-old mom didn't attribute it to sunscreen and water—instead, she credited the surgeon who performed the procedure, Dr. Stephen Levine.
«"I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time to update my look," she said. Vogue Arabia in an interview published in August of that year. «I decided to have this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy… For me, it means aging with dignity. In May 2026, television presenter Keltie Knight wrote in an essay for Glamour magazine revealed that getting a facelift at 41 was "the best thing I've ever done, even though it was very expensive." She wrote that she initially decided on the surgery after years of insecurities about her appearance (exacerbated by unkind reader comments), and the entire procedure took nine hours because she had a lot of scar tissue from numerous other surgeries she'd had over the years. Bunny Xo's decision to get a facelift at 46 was prompted by "old fillers," and the podcast host and wife of Jelly Rolla shared details of the procedure with fans on her social media—the highs, the lows, and the recovery period. "I'm going to look like crazy, guys," she promised before the surgery in March 2026. "I'll have some bruising. It'll be a little weird. Don't panic. My doctor is really damn good, so it'll be great.".

Ricki Lake, 56, credited her 40-pound weight loss for her decision to have a neck and facelift, and a year after the procedure, she shared photos filled with delight. "I lost 40 pounds and didn't like the excess skin hanging under my chin," she wrote on Instagram. "It wouldn't have tightened up on its own. Not at 55. Believe me, I still felt incredibly attractive and loved myself despite everything, especially after working so hard to get into the best shape of my life.".
But on a friend's recommendation, she decided to consult with Dr. Allen Foulad and, striving for complete transparency, shared information about her recovery process with her fans. "A year later, I look back on my bold decision and consider it one of the best I've ever made for myself," she said.

Another outspoken star who isn't afraid to speak openly about her surgeries, Kathy Griffin is also willing to speak honestly about the painful recovery period. In 2025, during her final (third) facelift at age 64, the comedian revealed she had undergone a blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift), which included a "cat-eye suture" to create a more upturned appearance at the corners of her eyes.
«"I know, it's so vain! I'm vain for no reason. No one ever went to a Kathy Griffin concert to see her beautiful, youthful face," she told her audience, adding that the healing process was "disgusting" and included a stay in a "rehab center for rich ladies" and then a nurse leaving to empty the drainage tubes. "These bitches say, 'It's like getting a tooth filling! It's no big deal!' No, it hurts... The first night, the drainage tubes are coming out of my chin. I know, it's so gross. But vanity wins.".

In early 2026, Jackie Harry told the publication Entertainment Tonight , who recently underwent a facelift with Dr. Patrick Davis, who reported that a similar procedure to her deep-tissue facelift can cost between $40,000 and $250,000. Although she was initially terrified by the prospect of pain, Harry said she finally wanted to get her "curvy" figure back. "When you constantly want something so badly, you have to do it. And I realized I really wanted it," she said.

But Kiss frontman Gene Simmons and his wife, who have been together since the early '80s, decided to treat themselves to a couples facelift in 2007 and were thrilled with the results. They filmed the procedure in Dr. Frank Ryan's office for film "Gene Simmons Family Jewels"« , and while Shannon (who decided to do it because "I didn't want him to look younger than me") couldn't watch, Gene said he was curious, revealing, "It was like the skin had been peeled off my face and thrown over my shoulder.".

TV presenter Catt Sadler has long been open about her plastic surgery experiences and has shared details online. In 2023, at the age of 46, she underwent the procedure and spoke about it. Glamour magazine , stating, "I didn't do it because I can't find a job. I didn't do it because I want my boyfriend to think I look 35. It wasn't anything like that. It was more about looking good in the mirror and feeling good. About how I feel.".

There is a facelift, and then there is a facelift out of revenge . Julie Chen did just that. After leaving the CBS daytime show, «The Talk» In 2018, Chen rethought her career and decided she needed to go under the knife.
«"You know how some people, when their loved one dumps them, strive for a 'revenge body'? Well, I wanted a 'revenge face,'" she said in her audio memoir.« But first, God.". «"The lower facelift was definitely part of 'my job' because I'm expected to look not much different from season to season or from how people are used to seeing me on TV.".
However, at first, she wasn't ready to talk about it so openly, planning to simply show up "looking gorgeous and rested." But fate had other plans: "After one of my doctor's appointments, I looked completely unrecognizable and all bandaged up like a mummy, and I didn't even suspect I'd been caught off guard by the paparazzi.".

One of Chen's colleagues on the show "The Talk"« , Sharon Osbourne has never been shy about plastic surgery, whether she's happy with the results or not. She had her first procedure in 1987 and her second in 2002, but her third attempt in 2021 was unsuccessful. "It was the worst thing I've ever done. I looked like a Cyclops," she said. The Times newspaper in 2023. "I had one eye here, one there, and my mouth was all crooked, and I had to wait for it to heal before I could go back and fix it.".
Osborne, who also tried GLP-1 weight loss supplements during a similar period, decided she'd reached her limit in terms of body modification. "This [facelift] has completely taken away my desire, and it's scary," she said. "I really overdid it with the last facelift, and now I'm like, 'That's enough. Time is running out for me; I can't have another facelift.'".
