More than 20 years after the album's release Confessions on a Dance Floor , Madonna hits New York to celebrate the release of the sequel.
During the premiere of the video clip for his album Confessions II , which will be released July 3 at the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday, the seven-time Grammy Award winner explained that the short film is "really about connection" that she hopes to convey in her music.

Madonna greeted an enthusiastic Tribeca Film Festival audience with tales of club life, film obsession, and an emotional return to New York.
«"I don't want to make meaningless music. I want to make music that says something," she said at the show. "Dance music makes you move your body, it makes you feel a pulse. It's like you're connecting with the universe, you're connecting with other people.".
Madonna added: "The film is really about connection. I go from my seclusion in this apartment and go straight into the woods where people are shooting lasers out of their asses. Just live, take risks, be curious, be observant… And put your fucking phones down and connect.".
After appearing at Sabrina Carpenter's Coachella performance in April, Madonna noted that "everyone had their phones in their hands, and I didn't know what anyone looked like," which was partly why she asked fans to lock their devices in Yondr cases at Friday's show.
Directors of the short film «Confessions II» Featuring performances by David Toro and Solomon Chase (known as TORSO), the video features the first six tracks from Madonna's upcoming 15th studio album, which premieres Monday on YouTube. The film also stars Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Debi Mazar, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, Odessa Azion, Richard E. Grant, Honey Dijon, Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, and others.
The Tribeca performance comes after Madonna performed songs from the album at a surprise concert Thursday in Times Square.
