The 22-year-old star of the film «Enola Holmes 3» opened up about raising her daughter, whom she adopted in the summer of 2025 with her 24-year-old husband, Jake Bongiovi, in a new UNICEF video the charity posted on Instagram on Monday, June 1.
The actress, who is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, admitted that she had moments of uncertainty during her parenting years, and said that this usually happens when she sees her child doing something new.
«"They do something, and you're like, 'Is this normal? Is this what they do?' And you know, I call my mom. She's like my emergency number. 'Mom, did I do this? Did my siblings do this?' And she's like, 'Oh, it's totally normal. They do this all the time,'" Brown shared in a video released as part of UNICEF's "My Journey to Parenthood" series.
«"It's so wonderful. I'm so honored to receive such support," she added. "And if I can't call her, I call my mother-in-law. She's exactly the same. It's so nice to hear words of support and encouragement.".
Brown and Bongiovi, who secretly married in May 2024, have a parenting motto: "Live one day at a time.".

«"My husband and I always say, 'Today was today, and tomorrow will be tomorrow, and let's just sleep it off.' We just take it one day at a time," Brown said in the video.
Star TV series "Stranger Things"« She also revealed in the video that she and her daughter share a "love" for food, insisting it is their "common love language.".
«"We just like to sit and eat," she said. "She always wants to try what I'm eating, and I always eat what she's eating.".
The actress noted that her life has "changed a lot" since becoming a mother, and that she is now focused on helping her daughter believe that she can achieve anything.
«"I just try to learn as much as I can and pass it on to her so she knows only one thing: girls supporting girls, women succeeding, women living their dreams and living in a world that builds a world for her. It's not unrealistic, but it sets the bar for her so she knows she shouldn't settle for less," Brown said in the video.
A single mother admitted that no one prepared her for the "love" she would feel for her child.

In August 2025, Brown and Bongiovi announced in a joint Instagram post that they had welcomed a "sweet baby girl" into the world, whom they had adopted. They wrote, "We are incredibly excited to begin this beautiful new chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy.".
Then in October, Brown shared photos of her baby girl, posting a series of photos on her Instagram that included a shot of the actress, her husband, and their newborn daughter.
Apparently, the three were riding the "It's a Small World" ride at one of the Disney parks and cuddled for a sweet photo. Brown and Bongiovi leaned their heads together, looking at their child. Their daughter's face was blurred in the photo.

The star then opened up about motherhood in her December cover story. British Vogue .
«"It's been a beautiful, amazing journey—she's taught us so much already," Brown told the publication. "Perspectives make a huge difference. The little things in life are so much more valuable. Our days are filled with hugs, laughter, and love. It's just endless joy.".
