Nick Jonas recalls a terrifying travel experience he once had with his friend Glen Powell that left the pilot in tears.

In an excerpt from Jonas's Friday, June 5, appearance, Live with Kelly and Mark , titled "Nick Jonas and Glen Powell's Rough Flight," the 33-year-old actor, known for his hit "Power Ballad," told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos about the "frightening" incident.

«"We had Glen Powell on the program, he's wonderful. I heard you two are friends, but you became close after a terrible accident on a flight," Consuelos asked Jonas first.

The Jonas Brothers singer confirmed, "Yes, there were," before going into detail about the terrifying moment, which he said happened nearly a decade ago.

«"It was probably almost 10 years ago. We were in Vegas with a group of friends, and on the way back, the plane basically took off, and then—I don't know what the technical term is—there was a power issue. Which, obviously, is never a good thing," he explained.

«"And that was before the release film "Top Gun: Maverick" with "Glen Powell was in the lead role, he was in flight training at the time, but he couldn't have landed a plane like he did now," Jonas joked, adding of his friend, "He was just regular Glen Powell. So if this had happened a couple of weeks ago, it would have been different.".

In conclusion, the singer, who performed the hit "Jealous", admitted: "Yes, it was a scary experience, but we are all okay.".

This prompted the presenters to ask Jonas how the crew reacted to the technical issue, to which Consuelos replied, "Did the pilots look worried?"«

Jonas laughed nervously and replied, "One of them was crying when we landed," to which Consuelos retorted, "That's when you understand.".

Jonas added that seeing the pilot's reaction made it clear how "horrible" the incident really was.

«"I thought, 'Okay, maybe it's not as bad as I thought.' And then I saw him crying. And I thought, 'Oh no, this is terrible,'" he recalls.

Intervening in the conversation, Ripa asked if he had seen the flight attendant look nervous as well, noting that she was "always [trying] to determine if the flight attendant looked uncomfortable.".

«"Yes, they looked worried," Jonas replied. "It was one of those moments you never forget.".

«"That's literally true," Jonas agreed. "And you know, Glen is the best. I think we developed a strong friendship from that moment on.".

Jonas's latest film has already been released in cinemas, «"Power Ballad"» , which also stars Paul Rudd. The singer is also preparing for the film's release. «Jumanji: Open World» , which will premiere on December 25.
