In a new interview for Rolling Stone The 29-year-old singer-songwriter, known for the hit "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" (real name Tucker Pillsbury), detailed the backstory of the character that gives his upcoming album its title.« Chuck Timely & The Hourglass» .
After announcing the new album this week, Role Model told the publication, "The common theme was time and feeling a bit stagnant during these two years of being single, dating, then not dating, and the constant pressure of, 'Okay, I'm getting older. I think I need to...'—the feeling of needing to find love and all the questions that come with that.".

He spoke of "reaching the age where everyone around me is getting married," and noted that in the past year he had "attended his first wedding as an adult.".
«"I wanted to convey the image of this character I created and the themes he represents," Rawle Model said. "He's a little pathetic, but also charming.".
On the album cover Chuck Timely & The Hourglass , shot by Chloe Chippendale, shows the Role Model drinking from a mug of beer next to a newlywed couple who look at him with disapproving eyes.
He came up with the character while thinking about how to take listeners on a "time journey" with the album, and describes Chuck Timely as "someone who can represent that time journey, someone who's been there all along.".
In April, Role Model launched an Instagram page dedicated to Chuck Timley, sharing photos of his character during studio sessions with The Beatles and Britney Spears.
«"We talk about him as a time traveler. This weird guy who somehow always remained in the background during all these studio sessions," the musician said. Rolling Stone . "We talk about Chuck every day in the studio, and that's honestly been the funniest part.".

He added: "After the songs were written, all we talked about was Chuck. We made up all these stories. I think he was always in the background of photos with Michael Jackson, but he also, oddly enough, knew Olivia Rodrigo and had been through that journey for decades. The idea was to have someone who represented what we were trying to do with this album.".
Album release Chuck Timely & The Hourglass scheduled for August 7th. The first single from the album, "High Hopes 3000," is already available.
