Lucasfilm is hinting at what's in store for Ahsoka Season 2 with the unveiling of a refreshed logo. The new visual identity comes after the Disney+ series' release was pushed back from 2026 to early 2027, meaning fans will have to wait at least six months for the series' release (remember, the first season premiered in 2023). Nevertheless, the new look is already generating excitement, and potential hidden details hint at what might happen in the new season.
Unveiled at Disney Upfront 2026, the Ahsoka season 2 logo retains the same font but changes almost everything else. Gone is the blue hue of the first season's celestial map, replaced by a crisp white design on a black background dotted with stars.
Behind the text is a redesigned circular star chart in white, depicting orbital rings, nodes, and constellation-like lines that are slightly easier to see and understand than the version from season one. Comparing the two charts, it's noticeable that the first season's star chart glowed a deep blue, a reference to the Arcana star chart—a physical spherical instrument that served as the primary navigational tool in season one.
The change to the map in the Ahsoka season 2 logo may be more than just an aesthetic decision. Toward the end of the first season, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) find themselves on the planet Peridea, located in a distant galaxy outside the main Star Wars universe. A map of another galaxy would be quite appropriate, given their new relative position in the universe.
What makes this new design even more remarkable is its significant departure from what was shown during filming. One of the first blankets from the Ahsoka 2 set featured a completely different look, devoid of any celestial map. Instead, it featured a witty, minimalist design, with the number "2" positioned directly beneath the "O" in Ahsoka's name.
There also appears to be a visual connection between the star map on the new logo and the World Between Worlds. Both maps depict circular, mechanical-looking structures rendered in black and white. The World Between Worlds first appeared in the live-action version of Ahsoka, bringing back Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen.
The Mandalorian season 2 logo highlights a major plot twist: Grogu has been added to Din Djarin. Fans will only find out in 2027 whether this new logo will play a significant role in the second season.
Additionally, The Mandalorian and Andor are the only other Star Wars shows on Disney+ to receive a second season (and updated logos).
Each series made its own visual choices: The Mandalorian went with blue and added Grogu, while Andor adopted a more distressed aesthetic to match its even darker tone.
There's a lot of pressure on Ahsoka's second season, especially given the gap between projects and the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Mando universe.

From a story perspective, there are many loose ends left at the end of Ahsoka's first season, including the stories of other characters like Balon Skull, Ezra Bridger, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Anakin Skywalker's Force ghost.
What will happen in Ahsoka season 2?
The second season of Ahsoka is expected to begin with Ahsoka and Sabine still stranded on Peridea, cut off from the main galaxy. Returning home will undoubtedly be the driving force of their storyline, and both heroines are expected to continue their journey with the Force. The main question surrounding this estranged couple is how long it will take them to return to the main galaxy.
Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) escaped Peridea by the end of the first season, but only appeared in four episodes. Now, his role will expand: Esfandi confirmed that Ezra will appear throughout the second season, expanding from his role at the end of the first season to a full-fledged protagonist. In the main galaxy, his story will likely involve assisting the New Republic in finding Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and attempting to bring Ahsoka and Sabine home.
Thrawn is once again the season's main threat, more so than ever before, making this series another spiritual successor to Rebels. Having escaped Peridea at the end of the first season, he is now free in the main galaxy and rebuilding his powers alongside the Great Mothers and Nightsisters of Dathomir.
Baylan Skoll, a rogue former Jedi, remains on Peridea, pursuing the planet's mysterious energy source. The role, originally played by the late Ray Stevenson, will be played by Game of Thrones star Rory McCann in season two. Skoll abandoned his apprentice, Shin Hachi, before the end of season one, and his solo mission is something dedicated Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating next year.
The first trailer for Ahsoka Season 2 should reveal a lot about the plot, but it may be a while before the official footage is officially revealed.
