Rotherham comedian and Chuckle Brothers member Paul Elliott has received an MBE from King Charles III for his charity work.
Elliott, along with his late brother Barry, produced nearly 300 episodes of their television show ChuckleVision in the 1990s and 2000s.
Barry died of bone cancer at the age of 73 in 2018, and was provided palliative care by Marie Curie nurses. Elliott, 78, was a prominent supporter and ambassador for the charity.
He said raising money for the cancer charity was a "privilege" and described receiving the award at Windsor Castle as a "huge surprise".
After the ceremony, Elliott said: "I'm just overjoyed.".
«"It was a great privilege for Barry and me to support the Marie Curie Foundation over the years, right up until his death, and it has been a pleasure to continue supporting them ever since.".
The comedy duo began performing for friends and family in their garden, and then in 1967 became the stars of the TV show Opportunity Knocks under the pseudonym The Chuckles.
Generations of kids grew up with their ChuckleVision catchphrase, "Me, you," and awkward brothers who caused television chaos wherever they went.

Asked if he was tempted to quote the phrase when he accepted the medal, Elliott replied: "At one point I thought, 'I wish I hadn't.'".

In March, Elliott cycled around the UK on the Daff Bike, a version of the Chuckle Bike produced by Marie Curie, to raise money for the charity.
When asked about the importance of the charity, he replied: "They are just wonderful people who care not only for the dying person but also for his family.".
«"That's the most important thing. They can give you a big hug, because everyone needs a hug when you lose someone.".
Actor Sir Idris Elba was one of several stars honored with awards on Tuesday.
Olympic champions Dame Jayne Torvill and Sir Christopher Dean were also awarded knighthoods and damehoods for their services to figure skating and volunteer work.
