Steve Harvey makes it clear that protecting his family is non-negotiable. During an extensive podcast appearance One on One with Kris Fade The longtime television host said he personally tracked down people who left "offensive" comments about his wife, Marjorie Harvey, and his daughters online.
Speaking candidly about fatherhood, fame, and family, Harvey explained that criticism directed at him is one thing, but attacks on his loved ones are beyond the pale. "You can say whatever you want to me. I don't care," Harvey said during the interview. "But the moment you start talking about Marjorie or my daughters... I'll find you." He added that fake accounts and private profiles no longer provide sufficient protection online because "people can decipher all that stuff.".
During the conversation, listeners also got a closer look at the large family Harvey and Marjorie have created since their wedding in 2007. They have seven children from previous relationships, including Steve's biological children—Brandy, Carly, Broderick Jr., and Wynton—and Marjorie's children—Morgan, Jason, and Lori—whom Harvey formally adopted after their wedding.

Over the years, the family has become a prominent part of Harvey's public image, especially as several children have launched their own careers in business, fashion, health, and entertainment.

During the interview, Harvey noted that his daughters receive particularly strong protection from him and their brothers. "My daughters have their own guardians," he said. "They have three brothers and a father.".
At one point, Harvey recalled warning one of his daughter's ex-boyfriends after he challenged his parental authority. "Everything on this side of the gate is mine, including her," Harvey said, explaining the tense exchange. He later admitted telling the man, "I'm going to kill you," before laughing it off as an example of how seriously he takes protecting his family.
The interview also touched on Harvey's reputation for avoiding Hollywood nightlife and celebrity parties. He explained that avoiding these venues was a deliberate decision designed to protect both his brand and his marriage.
«"I'm a family man," Harvey said, later adding that his wife "doesn't have to look for me" because he prefers to come home rather than chase the nightlife.
During the conversation, Harvey also reflected on the mistakes he made early in his life, including failed marriages, homelessness, and trying to balance fatherhood with his career ambitions.
The comedian openly admitted he "was a problem" in his previous relationships and described Marjorie as a "game changer" who helped him rethink his views on family and stability.
