Emmy and Grammy nominated composer Bear McCreary ( «The Walking Dead, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Last Voyage of Demeter» ) will contribute his musical talent to the soundtrack of a short horror film. «Goodbye, Monster» directed by Luke Barnett (Express to the intersection)« ) and FANGORIA studio.
This short film, created using practical special effects, follows a 12-year-old boy who is visited for the last time by the creature living under his bed. Featuring the voice talents of Fango collaborators Patton Oswalt and Tina Maiorino, as well as Cue Lawrence ( «Zephyr» ) and Barnett. The creature was created by practical special effects master Dan Crowley ( «Interstellar, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Frightener 3» ).
Known for his epic, sweeping symphonic scores inspired by everything from heavy metal to Scandinavian folk music, McCreary has been one of the most prolific composers in television, film, and games since the early 2000s, acclaimed for his work on the classic sci-fi series« Battlestar Galactica» . Whatever he wrote for the film «Goodbye, Monster» , Horror fans are in for a real treat.

Bear McCreary's music has always had the rare ability to be simultaneously cinematic and deeply human. In the case of «Goodbye, Monster» , "He immediately understood that the film wasn't about a monster, but about what it means to outgrow something you once needed. His score captures that transition in a way that's both mesmerizing and beautiful. I've been a fan of Bear's work for years, so working with him on this project was surreal. And knowing that he's also just a really nice guy? That's the icing on the cake. I was lucky.".
Currently a short film «Goodbye, Monster» is in post-production and will screen at festivals later this year. Vince and Natalie Masciale produced the film along with Barnett. Executive producers are Tara Ansley, Armen Aghaeyan, and Abhi Goel, along with Jake Morgan and Cole Travis. Co-producers are Joshua Butz, Adam J. Losoya, and Michael Brodner.
